What other plans do you have?
I've got a few things in mind, but I don't yet know what order I'll do them in. Things like an A-Z index and a search function are planned, but they won't be needed until at least a few more clans are added. Some of the more important stuff includes enhancing the user system so players can 'claim' their accounts, request to be added to a clan, and I might make it so the clan creator can assign other people to help him manage it. Then there're other things like a sig generator, polls and a forum.

I haven't coded a contact form yet, so for now you can either add im@smallfestivals.co.uk to MSN, or send an email to . Please don't try sending emails to the IM address, it is not a physical email and is only used for MSN.

What timezone does the BC2 Clan Stats use?
The site uses the 'Europe/London' timezone, which is currently GMT+1 because some pillock decided they wanted to add an hour during "summer time" so that we get longer days.

How, and how often, are players updated?
Short answer: Every 6 hours. Long answer: The database is scanned every 15 minutes for players not already pending an update. If their last update was more than 6 hours ago, the player will be marked for an update. Any players pending an update will automatically be added to the data source's update queue as soon as space becomes available. The amount of time any given player will have to wait for a space in the queue is anyone's guess.

Where do the stats come from?
The player statistics you see on BC2ClanStats.com are obtained from bfbcs.com using the BFBC2 Stats API.

How long to the actual stats updates take?
It can take anywhere from a couple minutes to a few hours, maybe longer, to update the stats in the BC2 Clan Stats database. In the test I did, one of the players set to update at 04:30 took just over an hour to complete the full update process. Others managed to get queued and have their stats updated before I remembered to check.

Why do the stats take so long to update?
Although the BC2 Clan Stats database is regularly checked for updateable players, the data source limits their queue to 500 players. This means it could take several attempts to get a player into the queue, especially at peak times.

My stats still haven't updated. Wouldn't it be quicker if I did it myself?
There's no need. BC2 Clan Stats automatically tries to add you to the queue, so by trying yourself as well you would be adding extra load to the bfbcs.com site. Even if you did manage to get on the queue early, you wouldn't be saving much time so it's pretty much pointless and a waste of your energy.
